So i thought to myself, I wonder when exactly is the right time to do number 2? Well, there is no stipulated right time. Do anything that works for you that's all my research came up with.
Let's fastforward to what i have been thinking about lately - Birth control. Getting birth control as soon as i do number 2 because we will be putting a full stop to child bearing.
After my baby number 1, i talked to my doctor about birth control. She recommended a pill and off i went home excited. 2 months later i was back atmy doctor's office looking bloated and sad. She asked what the problem was, i told her i noticed the pill has made me add a lot of pounds. She then confirmed my fears....yes, you will get super fat with pills. ( I was super upset with my doc....a story for another day).
So i thought to spread the news before anyone else falls a victim. Based on my research, here is what i found:
Pills - It works but the cons to this method is that you will get fat on the pill and you are more than likely to miss a dose once in a while since you have to take one pill every day.
Condoms- it does the job but it makes sex very boring (Advise for married people only. If you are not married and you have multiple sexual partners please always use condoms.....STDs are for real but Abstinence is definitely the best option if you are unmarried)
Ring/Coil - This is the best but it requires a minor surgery to have it inserted and you might or might not be seeing your period regularly.
Methods that don't work:
Withdrawal method - Just a little splash and you are pregnant so do not rely on this.
Safe period - It probably works sometimes but your chances of getting it right might be the same chances you have in winning a lottery.
Morning After: Yes, it is good for once in a year kind of accidents but relying on this as birth control is not good for your health.
Why birth control?
You need to plan for the number of kids you want to have so you don't find yourself begging to pay their school fees or providing basic needs for them.
Sex is such an amazing experience, so the last thing you want in the back of your head is, “oh God, what will I do if we get pregnant.” That’s right - we. Contraception is a shared responsibility of both partners. And remember, it only takes one “oops” to get pregnant.
Have a fab day.
Thanks for this piece.
